Why do children ask for anatomically correct baby dolls? Are these little Doctors and Scientists in the making? I wish I knew... but they do. And they also ask for dolls with hair.
And this little Shanti brown baby doll has that as well. Actually, it's pretty nice hair, very much like our daughter's hair was at 3, straight most of the way and then curling up at the ends. I've never seen that before in a doll!
This brown baby doll has a lot of other nice features... she's pretty sturdy - will stand up to the bangs and bruises a toddler can dish out, she's posable: arms, legs and head all swivel, she's pretty big at 14 inches, and she can go in the bath, unlike the cloth bodied babies.
Shanti's best feature is her suitability for so many children. She's just as suitable as a South Asian baby doll as she is as a Blaxican baby doll or maybe a Native American baby doll or Biracial baby doll.
She also fits into our 14 and 15 inch doll clothes, (look at the Baby Stella stuff) which means we'll be expanding our selections in that size range as we go along. But for now just be assured that there are lots of doll clothes available that fit her.
WARNING! Choking hazard: May contain small parts, not for children under 3 years.
