Korean Hanbok Doll's Costume
Authentic in every detail
Sometimes an opportunity comes your way, and you just have to go for it. This doll's costume is a perfect example. As you've probably noticed, we don't sell doll clothes, we specialize in hard to find ethnic dolls, and pretty much stick to what we know.
But some time back, one of our doll factories asked us if we would be interested in these 21 inch Korean Hanboks. They only had a few; Addie and I never found out if they were made for a special edition, or were for a doll that never went into production, or why they had them, but they wanted to get rid of them and asked us if we'd buy them.
So we bought them, and have never regretted it since. No, they're not our fastest sellers, but we have had always had good luck with them, and we're now down to our last dozen or so.
The outfit is exactly as shown in the picture: a Korean Hanbok in Orange and Gold, with matching slippers and pillbox hat. Authentically detailed; this six piece set consists of a simple orange colored full length cotton shift, lined with satin, and white bloomer panties. The shoulder jacket is made of shimmering crepe in gold and with contrasting embroidered medallions around the collar. The gold colored crown is of jersey over a stiffened form and decorated with 3 dimensional beaded appliques. A pair of crepe and cotton slippers complete the effect. We have tried this outfit on dolls ranging from the 18" (American Girls) to 21" to great effect.
If you have an Asian doll in this size range, or need a Halloween or 'Dress-up' costume for a Doll's party, you will be never regret owning this Korean Hanbok Doll's Costume.
