Works on so many levels, I hardly know where to begin! Two super soft, infant safe, machine washable "Best Friends Forever" dolls. Great value, beautifully made, bright colors, multiple textures, perfectly sized... you get the picture!

Before they are ready to learn to play Mommy and 'nurture' their dolls, they just want something to snuggle with. But the dolls need to be small enough for these younger toddlers to handle easily, be soft and cuddly, and be brightly colored and both visually appealing and with 'texture appeal' - they are still exploring their world with their fingers at this stage. But these dolls also have 'lasting power' ... satisfies the needs of a twelve month old, but will still be played with when she reaches three.

But best of all, she never has to be without her dolly, when one is in the wash she has the other, if she leaves one in the car, she has the other. Or keep one at Grandma's and the other at home -- she'll love going for a visit to see her dolly's best friend!

Originality and IndividualityI love these dolls for many reasons. They are different from top to bottom. Sierra has brown hair in a bun with a cloth headband and flower while Yasmin has black hair with a pony tail and a satin rose. The head shape, ear shape, eye color, eyebrow color, even skin color are all slightly different. Yasmin has a satin color and ruffle on her dress and if you pull it up you can see her brown tummy/chest with pink underwear. Sierra is wearing a yellow leotard/one piece with a polka dot wrap skirt. Yasmin has pink shoes with pink satin roses to match the pink satin rose in her hair and the pink satin in her dress. Sierra has blue shoes with pink cotton balls that match the pink flower in her hair. I love the individuality of these dolls. And yet even with the individuality they still look like sisters (or best friends).
Next, the hair is cloth with stitch marks rather than yarn. Yasmin's pony tail is made up of ribbon and cloth strips. The clothes on either doll will not come off completely. In comparison, I also have the Night-Night Doll whose hair is yarn that got messed up and clothes that are always getting pulled off. (I like the Night-Night Doll but that is annoying!)
They sit really well.
They are a good size, easy to carry.
Each hand has four fingers and a thumb. I've seen dolls with only three fingers or none at all.
I also liked that they came with names. It's hard to come up with names for dolls. I had to write the names on the tags but that was easier than figuring out good names.

Love BFF DollsLove these dolls - and my 1-year-old-daughter does too! I'm buying a second set as a back-up since one is missing in action now. I have even recommended these to a friend who is looking for a first doll for her daughter. They are soft and easy for my daughter to old on to - she usually keeps one in the car as her riding buddy and one in her crib to snuggle at night.
