And we only carry it because you asked us to. Yes it's a mass-merchant big-box item. But what customers like you have told us is: "If that Big Box Store or Mass Merchant isn't in a big city, they probably don't carry African American dolls. And although we can get them online from places like Target, Walmart and Toys R Us, they don't carry 50 other Black dolls like you do! So Please! Add Baby Alive to your line-up!"
And so we did. And if you happen to be one of those parents or grandparents who, because you do live in the 'hinterlands' (great word that... hinterlands) don't really know what all the 'Baby Alive' fuss is about, let us tell you:
- Baby Alive face is as cute as a button. Its almost as if Disney designed her face.
- Lots of attention to details: like the pretty print on her blouse; the matching ruffles at waist and sleeves; the wonderfully soft fabric used for her 'hair' that resembles braiding.
- A built in rattle and crinklies to stimulate the senses
- And the two 'finger pockets on the back of her arms for Mommy to slip her fingers in and make a puppet!
- Machine washable!
