Addie and I have sold a lot of different learn to dress dolls over the years... they're steady sellers, and just about every child gets one sometime in their play years. But hands down, this is the best one ever. It's the softest... it can double as a cuddle companion at storytime or bedtime. And though it's sold as surface washable, we threw one in the wash and it came out just fine. And it's by GUND, so it's super child safe.
Teach Me Elmo is approx 15 inches tall, very, very soft, and has 5 features: buckle, button, zipper, snap and laces. But it's the little details that take this toy from great to extraordinary... the designers didn't just say what features do we want... but went out of their way to make sure that little fingers could actually work the features. The zipper pull is a full inch long and made of fabric for easy gripping. the laces are sewn on so can't be lost, both zipper and snap have pockets to put a treat/reward into, and of course, it's Elmo, sweet, soft and furry!
PS: Another reason this is so perfect? You can give it to a one year old, and they can enjoy it as a soft cuddly toy even before they're ready to try the skills. This way they can learn at their own pace! Just brilliant!
