Just a noteJust ordered an adorable little rag doll and I must tell you what It is to be used for. There is a 3 year IMAGINE NO MALARIA campaign through the United Methodist church to test and treat people in the sub sahara region of Africa. One person dies every minute of malaria and most of these are children under 5. This precious little doll will sleep under a real mosquito net on a child's bed to promote our campaign in our church, which is 'Dove of the Desert United Methodist Church' in Glendale AZ. I also thank you for the wonderful letter that you sent to me after I purchased the doll. And God Bless YOU! Written by Virginia on Sun 17 Mar 2013 2:29:26 PM GMT
Pretty Good DollThe Night-Night Doll is the first doll I bought from the Patty Cake Doll Company. I remember when I was a little girl hating dolls that you couldn't take off their clothes so I thought the removable clothes was a plus. I figured I might eventually make some more clothes for her to wear. Well, my daughter is always taking off the doll's clothes. And she wants the teddy bear's clothes off, too. So I hate to say that turned into a con. I also really liked the yarn hair. Well, my daughter has pull about 10 pieces of yarn hair out of the pony tail. I'm scared to take off the pony tail to fix it because there is extra yarn that is just in the pony tail (it is being held in the pony tail and is not covering her head). The yarn bangs just stick up. I guess I'm saying that the yarn hair is a hassle. And to continue with the cons, the doll doesn't have a name. I hate having to come up with a name.
That's not to say I don't like the doll. I do like her. She's pretty. She's got 4 fingers and a thumb on each hand. I've seen dolls that only have 3 fingers or none at all. She's got 5 toes on each foot. The teddy bear has glass eyes like a regular teddy bear. The teddy bear also have 4 toes on each paw and is smiling. The matching outfits are cute and can both be removed (I like the consistency of that even if it is annoying to put the clothes back on, I might like it better when my daughter can dress them back). So I like the teddy bear which is why I haven't just cut off the teddy bear and thrown it away. I like that she's not wearing pink (I'm not anti-pink, I'm anti-everything must be pink). She's a good size to sleep with, not too big and bulky but not too small and hard either.
Overall, it's a pretty good doll.
