OK, this is one of those dolls that you need to look at as if you were the 3 year old.

This is what your toddler will see: "She's so big!" Fifteen inches, to your child's 25" or 30" maybe? So half her size. Next is the tulle; which to a toddler 'defines' a ballerina. She may not know what it's called, but she knows that ballerinas wear it. She'll be impressed with how much there is. 

After that, she doesn't care. She doesn't care that it's safe, she doesn't care that the doll has satin ballet slippers... (she'll notice, but that's not as important to her), and she won't care about the roses, the ribbons or the sequins. 

And you know what? when she has this doll wrapped up in her arms and her face and eyes are shining with happiness that's all that counts isn't it?

PS: This many layers of tulle in a doll usually costs at least twice as much - Debbie is a great value and sure to be a hit with your little one.
