Billy, the African American Boy doll from the StinkyKids doll collection is a nice 12 inch tall Black boy doll; soft and plush, made from a soft velboa fabric over polyfill, Billy has a nice smile on his embroidered face and wears a coordinated outfit of blue and gray pants, a short sleeve shirt and gray sneakers.
Although Addie and I knew nothing about StinkyKids dolls before we bought them - apparently the story has been all over the TV - how this mommy in NJ invented them, and what a big hit they were, but we knew a great doll when we saw it. But Billy has a 'back story;' what he likes, friends, favorite foods, activities etc. - all described on the hang tags that come with the doll.
These soft African American rag dolls may be the 'next big thing,' and yes, everybody may be talking about them, but we've never bought dolls for our customers based on hype... if you can get them in every store, what do you need us for? No, we we only buy dolls that we think our customers will really like, dolls your kids will love today, love tomorrow, and remember fondly for the rest of their lives.
